Web address of this page: https://runvia.magalar.com/health-data

This page is required by Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373), Nevada's consumer health data law (SB 370) and similar US state laws. It covers only "consumer health data" as those laws define it. Our full Privacy Policy covers everything else, and the two say the same thing.

"Runvia", "we" and "us" mean the Runvia developer, Yağız Ada Umur, 17200 Çanakkale, Türkiye.

1. Health data that never reaches us

Runvia processes the following only on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It is never sent to us and never stored by Runvia in iCloud or CloudKit:

  • heart rate, heart-rate zones and heart-rate summaries;
  • calories, measured by Apple Watch or estimated by Runvia;
  • weight, height and birth year, used to estimate calories and heart-rate zones;
  • steps, cadence and splits;
  • workouts and routes you record or import from Apple Health, unless you post one (section 2).

We cannot see, access, sell or share this data.

2. Data we may hold that these laws could treat as health data

If you join Runvia Social and choose to post a workout, the post contains its activity type, start time, duration and moving time, distance and how it was measured, pace, elevation gain and a privacy-trimmed route. Some US laws may treat this exercise information as consumer health data.

  • Source: you. A workout is posted only when you post it.
  • Purpose: to show your post to other Runvia users, which is the service you asked for, and to keep Runvia Social safe (reports and moderation).
  • Who receives it: everyone who uses Runvia can see a post, because you chose to publish it. Apple stores it for us in iCloud (CloudKit) as our service provider. We do not share it with anyone else.
  • What we never do: we do not sell consumer health data, use it for advertising, or let third parties collect it across apps or websites.

3. Your rights

You can:

  • see what you posted: it is on your profile in the app;
  • delete a post, your social profile or your whole account in the app (Settings › Social › Delete Social Profile, or Settings › Data › Delete Account);
  • ask us which consumer health data we hold about you, who received it, or to delete it, by emailing yadaumur@gmail.com. We answer within 45 days. If we refuse a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and if we refuse again you can contact your state's Attorney General.

4. Changes

If this page changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If a change affects how consumer health data is handled, we will also tell you before it takes effect, in the app or in the notes of the App Store update that brings the change.
